Chest measurement is taken under the arms around the widest part of the chest.
For the best fit, your child's chest measurement should be equal to or less than the measurement noted above. Waist measurement is taken just above the belly button.

I love this pair of shorts. The black goes well with the whistle and flute t-shirts we have. The fabric is soft and nice. Length is good. Love it!
